The Instructors

MINI is a global brand. The instructors at Miles Ahead's MINI Performance Motoring School are a dream team of internationally accomplished race car drivers who have competed at the highest levels of the sport. They have raced at Indy, Le Mans, Monaco, and just about every other major circuit in the world. While they all speak English, you will detect accents from France, England, Columbia, South Africa and even the United States.

The Venue

Originally built in 1909 and updated regularly, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is recognized as one of the most legendary motorsports facilities in the world. In fact, even John Cooper couldn’t resist fielding a car in the Indianapolis 500.  In 1961, his highly innovative Cooper Climax T54 in the capable hands of defending Formula 1 World Champion, Jack Brabham, finished the 500-mile race in the top-10. The significance? Cooper’s car was the only one in the race with the engine placed behind the driver. Every winning car since 1965 has utilized Cooper’s design concept.
