AUTO-DIMMING REAR VIEW MIRROR
There's very little that can detract from one's positive experience in a MINI. A glare in your rearview mirror from the bright headlights of a tailgater might have qualified, but MINIs are too smart for that. See, our optional electrochromatic feature enables the rearview mirror to dim when it senses an unusually sharp and potentially distracting glare on its surface.
How's it work? Basically, the dazzling light from the driver behind you triggers an electric current, which passes through a gel encapsulated between two layers of glass in the mirror, which then reduces the reflectiveness of the glass.
NOTE: If ordered, this feature comes coupled with our optional Rain-sensing Wipers.
