HANDS FREE PHONE ADAPTORS
Bluetooth and USB/iPod adapter
With MINI's integrated Bluetooth hands-free phone system, you can make and receive calls while, you guessed it, keeping your hands free. To drive. To motion someone into traffic. To clutch that foot long hot dog close to your heart. Or just wave like the queen. You can do it all while controlling your phone with your steering wheel buttons or voice commands (when properly equipped). This feature also provides address book capability with certain phones.
In addition, an integrated USB port is included to connect your digital music player directly to the vehicle's audio system. You can select and change tracks easily using the steering wheel controls, and we even throw in an iPod adapter cable for good measure.
CENTER ARMREST Comfort Bluetooth and USB/iPod adapter
Upgrading to the optional Comfort Bluetooth System allows you to snap your phone into a cradle in the center armrest to take advantage of the full might of the vehicle's exterior antenna while charging up at the same time. On top of that, adding the Smartphone prep option allows phones that have integrated music players (such as the Apple iPhone) to connect to the audio system while the phone is docked and charging in the armrest. Phone functions are still through a Bluetooth connection.
ACCESSORY IPOD ADAPTER
The dealer-installed iPod interface can be retrofitted for cars without the USB/iPod option. It's located in the storage tray behind the instrument panel and allows you to access your iPod via the steering wheel or radio controls while charging. Rock on.
