As if it weren't already smart enough, with the optional navigation system mounted right in the middle of the speedometer, your MINI can act as a highly skilled co-pilot who happens to know every single street and road in America.* The GPS (Global Positioning System) links to a satellite network to determine the exact position of the car and help get you where you want to go. It can even deliver Real Time Traffic Information for most major cities and help you find detours around congested routes. And no, that?s not voices in your head - that?s the system talking to you and providing turn-by-turn directions, so you can keep your eyes on the road.
In addition to helping guide your way, this option also features advanced Voice Control functions that allow you to keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. You or your co-pilot just say the word and the Nav. System will find your desired location, adjust the stereo, tie into your phone system and even control various vehicle settings.
