PERFORMANCE SUSPENSION
The road, at times, can be a brutal obstacle course. And that's exactly what makes owning a MINI so much fun. The MINI Cooper Convertible's optional suspension features front and rear anti-sway bars with McPherson struts up front to ensure tight front-wheel drive handling. And even though MINIs are front wheel drive vehicles, we couldn't find a reason not to make the rear suspension as great as possible. It's engineered to keep your wheels at their optimal angle to the road and tires in full contact with the surface -- especially during high-speed cornering -- so you'll get great handling at all times and minimal surprises if your road surface changes mid-turn. Since you never know when a stray soda can or shredded truck tire will be littering the course, we figure it's best to be prepared.
You can also choose the Sport Suspension option, with stiffer springs and stronger anti-sway bars for even more aggressive performance.
