MAIN VEHICLE DISPLAY:
It all starts with a bigger, 6.5" high-definition central screen. The technological heart of the cockpit, the generously-sized, full-color display is command central for your entertainment and vehicle information, giving you a new level of control and awareness over your motoring experience.
When you see an indicator or warning light, you can pull up more detail about the alert, and avoid digging through your owner's manual to figure out what the little icon means. MINI Connected also makes it easier to control the audio system, program the radio and clock, track trip computer info and monitor vehicle status (service alerts, brakes, tire pressure, roadworthiness test). You can even use it to tweak settings like whether your lights flash when you unlock the car, how long your parking lights stay on after you lock up and more.
JOYSTICK WITH SCROLL WHEEL:
A simple but critical component, this makes it easy to stay focused on the road while navigating your MINI Connected options. Situated close to the gear-shifter, the joystick moves in four directions, rotates like a scroll wheel and acts as a push button selector. Two additional buttons next to the joystick give you no-look, one-click access to Home and alternate menus.
COMFORT BLUETOOTH W/USB PORT:
MINI Connected also includes our top-level Comfort Bluetooth System with a built-in USB port. Once paired with your phone, you can make hands-free calls using voice commands and your phone's address book is displayed on the central screen. You can also stream web radio, podcasts, audio files and PANDORAŽ from your phone to your car stereo via USB/audio Y-cable or wirelessly (if your phone is A2DP capable). The system even charges your phone and lets your handset tap into your MINI's antenna for improved reception when docked.
