Time to revel in the world of in-car entertainment. MINI Connected adds a 6.5" high definition display in the center speedometer and Bluetooth, smartphone integration and a USB/iPod adapter. Using the joystick controller, steering wheel buttons or voice commands, you can easily navigate through the vehicle's onboard computer, audio system and even your smartphone or media player (such as the Apple iPhone.) In addition, your phone can be snapped into a cradle in the center armrest to take advantage of the full vehicle's exterior antenna while charging up at the same time. In addition to phone functions, the Bluetooth connection can also stream your music from most smartphones. But the sheer innovation and power of MINI Connected lays within the MINI Connected iPhone® App which will allow motorers to gain access to Facebook, Twitter, web radio, RSS news feeds, Google Local Search and Dynamic Music (a unique feature that mirrors individual driving styles). MINI Connected also supports Apple's iPod Out with the MINI Connected PlugIn feature allowing motorers to experience the Apple-designed user interface in the vehicle's main display as they access the music from their iPhone or iPod touch. Plus by supporting iPod Out, motorers will get access to the latest iPod features automatically through software updates to Apple's iPhone or iPod touch.

Simply download the free MINI Connected iPhone app from the iTunes store to your phone and the system will activate itself the very first time you use it.

MINI CONNECTED WITH NAVIGATION
As if it weren't already smart enough, MINI Connected can also be combined with our advanced Navigation system so even when motoring solo, you have a highly skilled co-pilot who happens to know every single street and road in America.* The GPS (Global Positioning System) links to a satellite network to determine the exact position of the car and help get you where you want to go. It can even deliver Real Time Traffic Information for most major cities and help you find detours around congested routes. And no, that's not voices in your head – that's the system talking to you and providing turn-by-turn directions. And because it's integrated into MINI Connected, it can also be operated using Voice Command so you can keep your eyes on the road. The Nav system also uses an internal hard memory card, and maps can be updated through a USB port in the glovebox.
