WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE PROGRAM DO YOU OFFER?

MINI offers a comprehensive vehicle maintenance program for absolutely no cost. Buy a MINI now and pay no maintenance costs for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The MINI Maintenance Program: one of the most comprehensive maintenance programs in its class covering all factory-recommended maintenance, oil service and inspections, as well as specific items that need replacement due to normal wear and tear - such as brake pads, brake rotors and wiper blade inserts. No other automaker provides this scope of benefits for absolutely no cost. So while other car owners may incur several hundred dollars of maintenance costs during the first few years they own their vehicles, you pay nothing for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles. In fact, we're so proud of our Maintenance Program that we offer an option to extend the life of your coverage for up to a whopping 6 years or 100,000 miles (whichever come first). This extension covers all the same parts and services, so it's sure to keep your MINI finely tuned for years to come.

WHAT IS COVERED UNDER THE MINI MAINTENANCE PROGRAM?

We cover all factory-recommended maintenance* at no charge, as well as specific items that need replacement due to regular wear and tear. Your maintenance costs: -Engine Oil Services: $0 -Inspection Services: $0 -Wiper Blade Inserts: $0 -Brake Pads: $0 -Brake Rotors: $0 -Engine Drive Belt: $0 -Brake Fluid Services: $0 -Engine Air Filter: $0 -Cabin Air Microfilter: $0 By offering such a comprehensive maintenance program with every new vehicle, we're able to help you manage the cost of ownership by keeping maintenance costs down.

WHERE SHOULD I GET MY MINI SERVICED?

To receive these services at no cost, just schedule an appointment at your authorized MINI dealer while your vehicle is covered by this program. And since all services are done at an authorized MINI dealer, by a MINI certified technician who has been specially trained by us, we can ensure that only original MINI parts will be used. In other words, your MINI will be maintained by our standards, which are, admittedly, higher than most.

IF I NEED TO TOP OFF** MY OIL BETWEEN SERVICES, IS THERE A SPECIFIC OIL I SHOULD USE?

A wise question, my MINI-minded friend. For starters, let us remind you that required maintenance work and services should be performed by your MINI dealership. That said, we suggest you check your engine oil level whenever you fuel up your MINI. If you're low, top off with MINI High Performance Synthetic 5W-30 Oil (MINI part number 07 51 0 143 829) - the very oil we use for scheduled engine oil changes. If MINI High Performance Synthetic Oil is unavailable, we recommend using only the following approved synthetic oils. (For information on checking your engine oil level refer to your vehicle's Owner's Manual.) ** Excluded from the Maintenance Program. The oils listed below meet MINIs Long-life rating and are acceptable for use in MINIs in the US market with gasoline engines. Long-life rating LL-01 Approved Synthetic Oils for the US Market - Castrol Syntec European Formula SAE 0W-30 - Mobil 1 SAE 0W-40 - Pennzoil Platinum European Formula Ultra SAE 5W-30 - Valvoline SynPower SAE 5W-30 Use only synthetic oils with an API rating of SM or higher. In other words, the good stuff. The choice of the right SAE grade is based on the climatic conditions in the region in which you normally drive your MINI. To best determine which SAE grade is best suited for your vehicle, contact an authorized MINI dealership.

CAN I EXTEND MY MINI MAINTENANCE PROGRAM COVERAGE?

Yes! You may also have the option to purchase a Maintenance Program upgrade, extending your total coverage to 6 years/100,000 miles, whichever comes first. And it offers the same benefits and ownership value.
